Dr Michalis Fragkoulidis isa an Obstetrician/Gynaecologist with a specialization in finding and fighting male as well as female infertility and in all contemporary methods of assisted reproduction as well as in Laparoscopic-Hysteroscopic Surgery.

He started his internship in 2001 in the Gynecological Oncology department of the Anticancer-Oncology Hospital “Agios Savvas” in Athens, where he remained until 2003. Then, for the next six years, he moved to Great Britain so as to improve his specialization skills in Obstetrics/Gynecology.

Dr Fragkoulidis practiced Obstetrics/Gynecology in the “Prince Charles” and “Royal Gwent” hospitals until 2005, where he gained important experience and knowledge in managing and dealing with all obstetrical-gynecological conditions. He also had the opportunity to be present in high-risk pregnancies.

Additionally, during the same time and towards the end of his internship, he began his practice in the pathological deformation of the uterine cervix caused by pathogenic organisms and mainly by the human papilloma virus (H.P.V), performing a great number of diagnostic and invasive colposcopies. (Diploma as a Colposcopy Specialist in 2006 by the British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology).

He is up-to-date on all contraception methods and reproductive age hygiene, customizing it depending on age, medical, gynecological or obstetrical past of the female. (Diploma in family planning and reproductive age hygiene “DFFP” recognized by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London RCOG).

After 2005, when he acquired the title of Obstetrics/Gynecology Specialist, he specialized in the reproductive medicine in the in vitro fertilization center “London Fertility Centre”, first as a fertility fellow of Professor Ian Craft and then, as the director of the testing department for male and female infertility problems. (Diploma in infertile couples management and assisted reproduction techniques, recognized by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London RCOG as well as embryo transfer-transvaginal ultrasound recognized by the British Fertility Society BFS).

The “London Fertility Centre” is one of the biggest in vitro fertilization centers in Great Britain, while Professor Ian Craft enjoys worldwide recognition since he and his team performed the first successful twin and triplet pregnancy using in vitro fertilization in Europe (1982-1984). He was also responsible for numerous important successes in the field of human assisted reproduction, such as the first birth in Great

Britain with the Gamete Infallopian Transfer method GIFT, the first child birth by egg and embryo donation in Great Britain, the first birth globally with the use of a new type of drug (GnRH analogue), as well as the first birth globally of an embryo using Percutaneous Epididymal Sperm Aspiration (PESA).

Dr Fragkoulidis took an interest in the immune system disorders and the repeated pregnancy miscarriages. He was responsible for the clinical management of at least 2,000 in vitro fertilization cycles annually with patients from all over the world and exclusively women who were subjected to fertility treatments. Moreover, he had the opportunity to help couples with complex male and female infertility problems and an increased number of unsuccessful in vitro fertilization cycles. He implemented new treatments and was a part of the treatment protocols upgrade with the main goal of increasing the number of successful efforts.

Furthermore, from 2007 until the middle of 2008, he worked in the “Royal Free University Hospital” in London, an internationally recognized training center of endoscopic surgery that has a tradition in clinical and laboratory research.

During that period he specialized in the application of endoscopic methods (Laparoscopy-Hysteroscopy) for the diagnosis and treatment of various gynecological conditions under the guidance of Mr. Adam Magos.

In the summer of 2008, he returned to Greece and joined the surgical department of “Iaso” maternity hospital. In 2015 he joined the, well-known recognized clinic, Mediterranean Fertility Institute and the treatment of tough fertility problems became my personal mission and goal.

He considers his duty to grow a feeling of trust, developing a warm, personal and human communication with the couple. He takes particular care in correctly and fully informing the couple on the problem they face, so as to be able to, in cooperation with them, plan their therapy and give a solution to their fertility problems.

His priority is the couple’s desire for a successful outcome of their effort to be achieved with the least mental, physical and economic cost possible. Each couple will feel and know a personalized approach, therapy, care and psychological support during their attempt. Dr Fragkoulidis believe that every medical case is different, since even though the problem may be the same, the woman that has it is unique. Your effort is his effort and your success, his success.
